Twilight....
This is a previous started post from before that I never had a chance to post but I am still interested in your responses.Yes people, I am a BIIIIGGGG fan of the twilight series. I may be one of the few that actually read the books before the movies made them so popular. When the movies started coming out I was ecstatic. Due to the lack of babysitter my children went with me to see the third movie Eclipse(about 3 weeks after the premier to allow for less crowds). Obviously the little ones were to young to enjoy(to dark) or understand the movie, but my bigger boys loved it. So they also became obsessed with they whole vampire thing. With this move of the Twilight Saga, I'm a little unsure. According to the cast of the new movie, Breaking Dawn, it will be almost exactly like the book. The book contained some sex scenes and a very graphic birthing/death scene so the movie will also. My kids absolutely want to see it. So my question today is,how young is.....

Social Networking
In honor of my class this week, I decided to do this blog a little early...
The age limit on social networking has always been an issue for me. I did a paper on it last year and actually created my blog, “To Young For…” based on this very idea. As a mom of two ‘pre-teen’ boys, this issue is a biggie. My boys are both under the age limit for any social networking sites yet hthey both have a page. I decided tio let them keep them after I found out that they aleady had one. I felt that it was better for me to let them have one and control it instead of them sneaking around. I still really do think that they are way too young to understand the responsibility that comes behind what they post on the Web. The minimum age for these sites should at least be 16. I feel that at that age they should be able to be responsible and mature enough to understand what they post. Even at that age, they should still be monitored. So yes, my kids have their own web ‘page’, but every time they post I get a message to my phone. If it’s something I don’t like or think is appropriate, I go on or make them go on and take it off. Then we have the dreaded talk of why did you feel you should post that and why would you want people to know that etc.,etc.. They absolutely hate those conversations. So I figure the more we talk about it, the greater chance I have that they won’t do it again. So this weeks question....

How young is to young for social networking?

Sports
This summer I decided to sign all my boys up for football. Now my older two boys started playing football at the ages of 5 and 6, so I figured since my 2 little ones were 5 and 7 it would be o.k. So not the case. Practices started in early July and it was great. The kids were all excited about meeting new and old friends. They or should I say we were there Mon.-Fri. from 6pm-8pm. fast forward to when the season actually started and it was a mess. My big boys at 11 and 12 have done this before so they were fine. On the other hand, the two little ones were a mess. they didn't want to play because they didn't want to get hit, or they were tired, whatever. It was just excuse after excuse. in the beginning, I would make them go no matter what. I mean, I spent money to sign them up and on the extras that they needed such as cups, under armor, cleats and the oh so special socks they just HAD to have. however, as it slowly got worse with the complaining , I stop making them go. My big thing is , I believe that the younger they start the better chance they have of going pro. So my question today is...
How young is to young for sports.
